Andrei Coubiș named man of the match for Lincoln City

Romanian central defender Andrei Coubiș was named man of the match following Lincoln City’s 1-1 draw against Southampton in the fifth round of the English Championship.

At 22 years old, Coubiș earned his first start in the league after previously appearing as a substitute in three matches. During the game, he recorded 62 touches, four shots, one interception, and five recoveries. Southampton opened the scoring in the 44th minute through Welington, but Lincoln City secured a draw in the 87th minute via a goal from Ladefoged.

Coubiș, who joined Lincoln City from U Cluj on a five-season contract, is currently valued at approximately 1.2 million euros. Lincoln City is scheduled to face Bournemouth in the League Cup round of 32 on September 8.
