Andrei Stenin International Photo Contest announces winners

The winners of the 12th Andrei Stenin International News Photography Contest were announced during an awards ceremony held on October 21 at the Moscow Museum.

Lebanese photographer and freelance Sputnik correspondent Abdelkader Albi received the Grand Prize. The international jury unanimously awarded him for his photo series titled ‘Lebanon, 2024–2025: Life Amidst Air Strikes’ in the ‘Major News. Photo Series’ category.

The ceremony also marked the beginning of an exhibition tour featuring the winning works. In Moscow, the winning photographs will be on display at the Moscow Museum until November 10.

Established in December 2014 by the Rossiya Segodnya international media group, the contest honors the memory of Andrei Stenin, a photojournalist who died near Donetsk in the summer of 2014. The competition aims to support young photographers and highlight the responsibilities of contemporary news photography through six distinct categories.
