Andrei Stenin photo contest exhibition opens in Tehran

An exhibition showcasing the winners and finalists of the 11th Andrei Stenin International Press Photo Contest has opened at the House of Photographers gallery in Tehran. The event was attended by cultural officials, media managers, and photography professionals.

Speakers at the opening ceremony emphasized the role of photographers in documenting reality and the potential for cultural and media events to strengthen relations between Iran and Russia. The exhibition is organized through the efforts of the Russia Today media group in collaboration with the Mehr News Agency and the House of Photographers.

The 11th edition of the contest received approximately 2,000 entries from 40 countries, with winners selected from 15 nations. The competition aims to discover new talent and support professional standards in news and documentary photography. The exhibition runs from September 14 to September 22 (23 to 31 Shahrivar in the Persian calendar).
