Andrei Șucu sidelined by injury at new club CSL Ștefăneștii de Jos

Andrei Șucu, the 17-year-old midfielder and son of Rapid owner Dan Șucu, has suffered an injury shortly after joining CSL Ștefăneștii de Jos. The move was facilitated by a new Romanian Football Federation protocol allowing SuperLiga clubs to send up to five U21-eligible players to Liga 2 teams through a specialized cooperation agreement.

Following a successful debut in a match against Cetatea Suceava, where he played the first half, Șucu was sidelined due to a medical issue sustained during training. As a result, he has been excluded from the squad for the upcoming match against FC Bihor. CSL Ștefăneștii de Jos coach Mircea Gheorghe confirmed the injury, noting that Rapid informed the club of the situation and that the player's return date remains unknown.
