Andrej Babiš and Karel Havlíček criticized for podcast remarks

During a recording of the podcast ‘Sorry’, politicians Andrej Babiš and Karel Havlíček drew criticism for inappropriate comments made toward Petra Absolonová, an ANO party Senate candidate and head nurse at the Masaryk Oncology Institute in Brno.

Instead of a standard introduction, the conversation shifted to personal medical experiences. Havlíček made graphic remarks regarding a colonoscopy procedure, at one point suggesting that Absolonová should perform a similar procedure on political opponent Jan Grolich. Absolonová responded by noting that such a procedure would require the use of gel.

The exchange prompted sharp condemnation from former MP Marie Jílková, who described the behavior as ‘sexist, disgusting bottom-tier conduct from high-ranking politicians.’ The participants of the podcast characterized the remarks as humor related to health prevention.
