Andrej Plenković criticized by analyst over government debate
Political analyst Žarko Puhovski has criticized Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković following his speech on the state of the nation and the subsequent debate regarding the SDP’s proposal to recall the government.
Puhovski described the Prime Minister’s performance as “scandalous and somewhat toxic,” noting that Plenković failed to answer critical questions and instead engaged in political maneuvering. The analyst argued that the Prime Minister avoided accountability toward employers and failed to address key issues, continuing a political tradition of avoiding direct answers to opposition inquiries.
Additionally, Puhovski addressed environmental concerns in the Lika region, suggesting that the core issue is not whether the area is currently poisoned, but whether there is an ongoing process of poisoning through illegal waste disposal. He emphasized a lack of ecological awareness within the government and highlighted the need for long-term historical thinking in Croatian policy.
