Andreína Yépez, Venezuelan actress and comedian, dies at 51

Venezuelan actress, comedian, and model Andreína Yépez has passed away in Miami, Florida, at the age of 51. Her death was confirmed following the night of August 25, 2026.

Reports indicate that Yépez had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer approximately one month prior to her death. She had chosen to keep her medical condition private, spending her final days with close family members.

Born in Caracas in 1974, Yépez established a significant career in Venezuelan television throughout the 1990s and 2000s. She was well known for her roles in various telenovelas, including ‘Cosita Rica’, where she played the character Melao, as well as ‘Ciudad Bendita’, ‘La mujer perfecta’, and ‘Dulce amargo’. Beyond drama, she was a prominent figure in comedy programs such as ‘Bienvenidos’ and ‘Cheverísimo’. In recent years, she had been residing in Miami with her daughter.
