Andres Aguilar, Menlo College student, charged with raping 12-year-old girl; police seek other victims

Menlo College student Andres Manuel Aguilar, 19, has been charged in California with two counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a minor and one count of providing marijuana to a minor after allegedly raping a 12‑year‑old girl in his dorm room on May 5, 2024. Prosecutors say Aguilar met the girl at a bus stop on May 4, gave her alcohol and marijuana, and after the assault ordered emergency contraception (Plan B) to be delivered via DoorDash.

Atherton police are investigating whether there may be additional victims and have asked anyone with information to come forward. The preliminary hearing was postponed to Aug. 27 in San Mateo County Superior Court. District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe emphasized the seriousness of the crime and the higher penalties for offenses involving children under 13.
