Andrew and Tristan Tate challenge detention amid UK extradition fight

Andrew and Tristan Tate are mounting a legal challenge in a Miami court to secure bail and contest their continued detention as they fight extradition to the United Kingdom. The brothers, who hold dual US and British citizenship, have been in custody since July facing charges related to alleged rape and sex trafficking offenses occurring between 2010 and 2017.

Newly released extradition materials include allegations from an accuser who claims the brothers used a ‘lover boy’ model to exploit women. The accuser alleges she was persuaded to move to Romania in 2017 under the premise of choosing her own level of involvement in webcam work, but instead faced what she described as “sexual slavery.” She claims she was forced into 12-hour shifts and pressured into sexual acts without her consent.

UK investigators allege the brothers groomed vulnerable women and used financial control, intimidation, and violence to exploit them for online sexual content. The Tates deny all wrongdoing and argue that their detention without bail is unconstitutional, maintaining they are not a flight risk.
