Andrew and Tristan Tate indicted in Romania on trafficking and money laundering charges

Romanian organized crime prosecutors (DIICOT) have formally indicted Andrew Tate and his brother, Tristan Tate, on multiple charges including human trafficking of minors, money laundering, and witness tampering.

The indictment alleges the brothers recruited women and girls by feigning romantic interest before exploiting them for online pornography and webcam activity. One specific allegation involves a 15-year-old girl whom prosecutors claim Andrew Tate recruited in the United Kingdom and later moved to Luton and Romania for sexual exploitation involving physical and psychological pressure.

Prosecutors estimate that over $1.25 million was generated from the victim’s online activity. The indictment further alleges that the brothers retained approximately 80% of these funds and attempted to launder the proceeds through the purchase of luxury vehicles. Both brothers deny all wrongdoing.
