Andrew August wins 2026 Czech Tour general classification

American cyclist Andrew August, representing Netcompany-Ineos, won the 2026 Czech Tour general classification. The 20-year-old secured the title after a competitive four-stage race that marked the event's debut in the UCI ProSeries.

In the final stage from Kroměříž to Pustevny, Italian rider Alessandro Fancellu of MBH Bank-CSB Telecom-Fort won the individual stage despite a mid-race incident where he slipped off his pedal. However, August maintained his overall lead to finish seven seconds ahead of Fancellu in the final standings. Nicolas Breuillard took third place overall.

Czech rider Václav Ježek finished seventh in the general classification, while Jan Hirt placed ninth. The race featured high-level competition from 18 teams, including prominent names like Mikel Landa and Jack Haig.
