Andrew Farrell to retire after 14 seasons with New England Revolution

New England Revolution defender Andrew Farrell has announced he will retire at the conclusion of the 2026 MLS season. The 34-year-old has spent his entire 14-year professional career with the club after being selected first overall in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft.

Farrell holds several franchise records, including most games played (345), starts (329), and minutes played (29,384). He was a key figure in the Revolution’s 2021 Supporters’ Shield victory and helped the team reach the 2014 MLS Cup final and the 2016 U.S. Open Cup final. He was also an MLS All-Star in 2016.

Beyond his on-field achievements, Farrell has been recognized as the team’s Humanitarian of the Year four times. In recent seasons, he has balanced playing duties with a role as an assistant coach for the Revolution Academy while working toward a U.S. Soccer B coaching license.
