Andrew Garfield reveals secret band The Shangles

Actor Andrew Garfield has revealed he is part of a musical passion project called The Shangles. The band, composed of middle-aged friends, performs covers of songs from the 1976 musical Bugsy Malone.

Garfield stated that the group is not pursuing commercial success, describing it instead as a way to pursue personal passion. While he teased that the band has “some big plans” for the future, he declined to provide specific details until they are official.

In addition to his musical endeavors, Garfield is preparing for the release of his upcoming film, The Magic Faraway Tree, which features themes of nature and escaping technology. The film stars Claire Foy, Nicola Coughlan, and Rebecca Ferguson.
