Andrew Garfield addresses Avengers: Doomsday rumors and Spider-Man success

Actor Andrew Garfield has addressed recent rumors regarding his potential return in the upcoming Marvel Studios film ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. During the premiere of his new film ‘The Uprising’, Garfield denied involvement in the project, stating, “I’m not.” However, when questioned about his history of withholding information regarding his role in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, he responded, “You’ll find out, I suppose, one way or the other.”

Garfield also commented on the massive commercial success of Tom Holland’s ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, which has earned approximately $891 million domestically and is projected to be the first film to surpass $1 billion at the North American box office. Garfield noted that he has not yet watched the film or Holland’s ‘The Odyssey’, explaining that he does not want to be “disingenuous” by offering congratulations before seeing the work himself.

Reflecting on the character of Spider-Man, Garfield remarked that the hero’s appeal lies in his relatability, stating, “Everyone has ownership over him, he’s everybody’s, and he’s decent and he’s good and he’s ordinary, and he’s extraordinary like all of us.”
