Garfield expressed frustration with screen time notifications, describing them as “horrific” and feeling as though he has wasted hours on content without substance. He attributed these impulses to manipulative app designs and algorithms intended to target human instincts.

Beyond his digital habits, Garfield discussed his desire to step away from the spotlight of Hollywood. He admitted to frequently thinking about leaving the industry, noting that after working on back-to-back projects for nearly a year, he often dreams of a quieter life, such as whittling wood in the Somerset countryside.

Garfield noted that his professional goals have shifted from achieving major milestones, like his role in the Spider-Man franchise, to seeking a higher quality of life and more meaningful personal relationships. His recent work includes the film “The Magic Faraway Tree,” which explores themes of technology addiction, and the upcoming project “Artificial,” directed by Luca Guadagnino.
