Andrew Gillum arrested in Alabama after positive methamphetamine test

Former Florida Democratic gubernatorial nominee and former Tallahassee mayor Andrew Gillum has been returned to custody in Alabama. A judge revoked Gillum’s bond after he allegedly failed to appear for a required drug test under a “color code drug testing” system and subsequently tested positive for methamphetamine.

This arrest follows a previous incident in July when Gillum was taken into custody during a traffic stop in Daphne, Alabama. During that encounter, authorities reported finding marijuana and three packages containing a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine. Gillum, who was a prominent figure in the 2018 Florida gubernatorial race, was booked into the Baldwin County jail on August 6.
