Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor declines King Charles’s Balmoral invitation

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has reportedly declined an invitation from King Charles to attend the Royal Family’s traditional summer gathering at Balmoral in Scotland. Sources suggest the decision stems from a fear that he would be treated as an “outcast” or an “elephant in the room” during the event.

A friend of Mountbatten-Windsor stated that he feels “abandoned” and no longer considers himself part of the Royal Family. He reportedly believes there is “nothing to gain” from attending if he is to be isolated from the rest of the family members.

The former Duke of York currently resides at Marsh Farm on the Sandringham Estate after leaving Royal Lodge in Windsor. His relationship with the monarchy has significantly changed since 2019, following controversies regarding his association with Jeffrey Epstein. While he has consistently denied any wrongdoing, he stepped back from public duties and subsequently had his royal titles and privileges removed by King Charles.
