Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor faces dispute over public footpaths

A campaign is underway to reinstate historic public footpaths through the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, which could bring walkers directly past the residence of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor at Marsh Farm.

Dr. David Ormerod, a retired academic and rights-of-way campaigner, has filed formal applications to restore pathways that he claims were improperly removed from official records approximately 70 years ago. His latest application targets an old route through the Wolferton marshes, seeking to have it designated as a restricted byway. Dr. Ormerod has utilized historical maps, aerial imagery, and archival documents to build his case.

The proposal has raised security concerns, as Mountbatten-Windsor recently reported being pursued by a stalker in the vicinity of his property. The dispute follows Mountbatten-Windsor's recent relocation to Marsh Farm after leaving his previous residence in Windsor.
