Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor faces stalking charges and reports of royal isolation

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is facing legal proceedings following an alleged stalking incident near his Sandringham home. At Westminster Magistrates’ Court, it was heard that Alex Jenkinson, 39, is charged with using threatening or abusive behavior toward the former Duke of York on May 6. According to witness statements, Mountbatten-Windsor reported being chased by a man wearing a balaclava while walking his dogs.

Suffolk Police are seeking a civil Stalking Protection Order against Jenkinson. During the hearing, Jenkinson was prevented from entering the courtroom because he was accompanied by a dog, which his lawyer argued was a support animal for his ADHD; however, the judge denied the request.

Separately, reports indicate Mountbatten-Windsor is experiencing increasing social and institutional isolation from the Royal Family. Following the loss of his royal titles and military patronages, sources suggest he feels like an “elephant in the room” and avoids family gatherings to escape being treated as an outcast. This follows a period of significant scrutiny regarding his past associations and ongoing investigations into his conduct during his time as a UK trade envoy.
