Andrew Nihopara appointed CEO of Tourism Solomons

Tourism Solomons has appointed Andrew Nihopara as its new Chief Executive Officer, filling a vacancy that has existed for over five years. The appointment follows a recruitment process conducted by KPMG Fiji and a select committee appointed by the Tourism Solomons Board.

Mr. Nihopara is a senior tourism and public-sector leader with over two decades of experience in the Solomon Islands and the wider Pacific region. His previous roles include serving as Head of Marketing for Tourism Solomons, Deputy CEO of the Pacific Tourism Organisation, and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in the Solomon Islands.

Board Chairman Tony Langston stated that Mr. Nihopara’s strategic leadership and regional profile will be assets as the nation seeks to increase its international visibility and grow visitor markets.
