Andrew Painter leads Phillies to 12-3 win over Cardinals

Philadelphia Phillies rookie Andrew Painter delivered a dominant performance on Saturday night at Citizens Bank Park, pitching seven innings against the St. Louis Cardinals. Painter allowed only one run on five hits, recorded eight strikeouts, and issued no walks, helping lead the Phillies to a 12-3 victory and their eighth consecutive win.

This outing marks a significant resurgence for Painter, who had previously been sent to the minor leagues to refine his control and delivery. Since returning to the major leagues, he has shown improved command and a more confident presence on the mound.

The Phillies' offense provided substantial support, highlighted by a three-run first inning and additional runs from Alec Bohm, Edmundo Sosa, and Bryan de la Cruz. Bryce Harper contributed a three-run home run in the sixth inning to extend the lead.
