Andrew Schulz joins ‘Miami Vice ’85’ cast for Universal

Andrew Schulz has joined the cast of Joseph Kosinski’s upcoming film, ‘Miami Vice ’85’, for Universal. Schulz joins a lead cast featuring Michael B. Jordan and Austin Butler, alongside Whitney Peak, Alden Ehrenreich, Camila Morrone, John Leguizamo, and Danny Ramirez.

Written by Dan Gilroy, the screenplay is inspired by the pilot episode of the original NBC series and focuses on the corruption and excess of mid-1980s Miami. The production is slated to begin filming in November and will be shot for IMAX.

Universal has scheduled the film for release on May 19, 2028. Schulz, known for his ‘Flagrant’ podcast and recent acting roles in projects like ‘Tires’ and ‘You People’, adds to an expanding ensemble for the reboot.
