Andrey Gyurov concludes presidential campaign in Plovdiv

Presidential candidate Andrey Gyurov and vice-presidential candidate Georgi Kandev concluded their nationwide election campaign with a final event in Plovdiv, attended by approximately 2,100 people. During the event, Gyurov addressed the socio-economic challenges facing Bulgarian citizens, specifically citing high inflation, rising costs of basic goods and services, and fuel prices as primary concerns.

Gyurov criticized the current administration for failing to provide economic stability, arguing that the lack of effective measures is contributing to poverty and social inequality. He emphasized that the presidency should serve as an active corrective force and a guarantor of the Constitution, rather than remaining passive during crises.

His platform includes using presidential powers to veto laws that threaten citizen rights, referring unconstitutional matters to the Constitutional Court, and taking an active stance on national security threats, including risks in the Black Sea region. Gyurov stated his goal is to move away from a culture of resignation toward a state defined by accountability and predictable rules.
