Andrey Gyurov named presidential candidate for PP-DB coalition

The political coalitions 'We Continue the Change' (PP) and 'Democratic Bulgaria' (DB) have announced their support for Andrey Gyurov as their joint candidate for the presidency. The coalition is also considering Georgi Kandev for the vice-presidential position, though a final decision on the running mate is expected to be left to Gyurov.

Ivaylo Mirchev, co-chairman of 'Yes, Bulgaria', confirmed the nomination, stating there is full agreement between the formations. The coalition aims to present a pro-European alternative to voters, positioning themselves as a choice that defends national interests while offering a different path from the current administration. Mirchev also ruled out the possibility of a joint candidate between the PP-DB coalition and GERB.
