Andria celebrates Castel del Monte's 30 years on UNESCO list

The city of Andria is hosting a series of cultural events to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Castel del Monte's inclusion on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Scheduled from September 5 to 12, 2026, the program includes historical discussions regarding Frederick II, vocal performances, visual arts installations, and contemporary choreography.

Parallel to these celebrations, the Castel dei Mondi Festival has concluded its recent programming with theatrical performances such as “Farinelli. La voce che resta” and experimental works by the Teatro delle Bambole. The festival also featured a musical tribute to the late singer Daniela D’Ercole. To mark the festival's 30th edition, a new book titled “Castel dei Mondi,” edited by Riccardo Carbutti and Francesco Fisfola, will be presented on September 9 to examine the event's cultural impact through the perspectives of artists and scholars.
