Andria school year begins with focus on social cohesion

The 2026/2027 school year has commenced at the I. C. ‘Mariano-Fermi’ in Andria. During the opening ceremonies, Municipal Councilor for Education Nunzia Saccotelli described the new term as ‘a new page to be written together.’

School Director Roberto Crescini emphasized the importance of education as a tool to combat recent local violence and social degradation, specifically referencing the murder of Cosimo Quagliarella in August. The institution aims to act as a ‘sentinel of dignity’ to prevent social conflict through community and family engagement.

Additionally, the school reported positive INVALSI data, noting an increase in excellent results and a reduction in implicit dispersion and variability between classes.
