Andriano Balić signs for Hrvace as Red Star promotes Matej Gaštarov to senior squad
Croatian lower‑division side Hrvace announced the signing of 21‑year‑old midfielder Andriano Balić from Uskok. Balić, who previously featured for Zagora, Junak and RNK Split and spent time in Osijek’s youth system, is expected to strengthen the club’s central midfield for the upcoming season.
In Serbia, Red Star Belgrade confirmed that 19‑year‑old Macedonian midfielder Matej Gaštarov has earned a professional contract through 2029 and will join the first‑team squad. Gaštarov, a tall central midfielder with experience in senior football for Vardar, Mineral, Borac Čačak and in Serbia’s First League, impressed Red Star’s coach Dejan Stanković during the preseason and is projected to compete for minutes in the SuperLiga midfield.
Both clubs are bolstering their squads ahead of the new campaign, focusing on young talent to improve their competitive prospects.
