Andrija Mandić denies existence of majority to replace him
Andrija Mandić, the Speaker of the Parliament of Montenegro, stated during an official visit to Austria that there is no parliamentary majority to support his removal from office. This comes in response to a third opposition initiative aimed at replacing him.
Mandić characterized the current political campaign against him as a “cruel and deeply untruthful” effort filled with lies. He addressed criticisms regarding his past, noting that during the 1990s, he held no political functions involving key state decisions.
He emphasized that Montenegro’s primary goal remains joining the European Union and argued that political stability is essential for the EU accession process. Mandić asserted that the initiators of his removal lack the necessary support to succeed, as they did in two previous attempts.
