Andris Kulbergs discusses potential Latvian coalition partners

Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs has addressed potential coalition scenarios following the 15th Saeima elections. While he expressed a positive view of Ainārs Šlesers, the leader of the opposition party ‘Latvija pirmajā vietā’ (LPV), Kulbergs noted significant concerns regarding the composition of the LPV team. He stated that the presence of contradictory and differently perceived individuals within the party complicates the prospects for future cooperation.

Kulbergs emphasized that final decisions regarding the government model will depend on election results and cautioned against making premature conclusions based on current public opinion polls. Although he noted that voters ultimately determine coalition compositions, he categorically rejected the possibility of political cooperation with the ‘Suverēnā vara/Apvienība jaunlatvieši’ and ‘Stabilitātei!’ lists.
