Andris Kulbergs tasked with forming new Latvian government

Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs has tasked Andris Kulbergs with forming the next government following the 15th Saeima elections. Kulbergs, representing the winning party 'Apvienotais saraksts', secured a victory over other political forces.

President Rinkēvičs indicated that significant progress in the government formation process should be visible by the beginning of November. While Kulbergs has been designated to lead the formation, the President noted that official nomination as Prime Minister cannot occur until the current 14th Saeima's mandate concludes.

Kulbergs holds degrees in economics and business from Tallinn International Concordia University and the Riga Business School. His professional background includes various leadership roles in the automotive industry and regional management positions in the Netherlands.
