Andriy Yermak granted expanded travel rights by Ukrainian court
The High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine has modified the procedural restrictions imposed on Andriy Yermak, the former Head of the Office of the President. While the court rejected a request to remove his electronic monitoring bracelet, it granted permission for him to travel to several specific regions, including Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Kherson, with transit rights through other oblasts.
Yermak’s defense argued that expanded travel is necessary for his involvement in a project providing legal assistance to Ukrainian soldiers, a request supported by letters from various military unit commanders. Prosecutors opposed the motion, stating his managerial role did not require such movement.
Yermak faces allegations of money laundering involving approximately 460 million hryvnias (roughly $38 million) related to the construction of a luxury residential development in the Kozyn area near Kyiv between 2021 and 2025. He was previously detained and later released on a 140 million hryvnia bail. Yermak denies all wrongdoing, describing the charges as “baseless.”
