Android Auto restores missing cellular signal icon

Google is reportedly rolling out updates to Android Auto that address long-standing user interface issues. Specifically, users have noted the gradual return of the cellular network icon in the status bar, which had been missing for several months. This icon allows drivers to monitor signal strength while in motion.

Reports from users indicate the fix may be appearing in version 17.8.663874, though the rollout may also occur via server-side updates, making the exact timing for all devices difficult to predict.

Additionally, users are seeking the return of other previously removed features, such as the temperature reading in the status bar. To ensure the latest fixes are applied, users are encouraged to download the most recent version of the Android Auto application.
