Apple has introduced several significant software updates through iOS 27 and iOS 27.2, enhancing various ecosystem applications.

Apple Wallet now allows users to digitize physical cards, such as loyalty or membership cards, by scanning barcodes with the camera. The update also introduces bill splitting via Apple Cash, recurring transaction tracking for Apple Card users, and expanded hotel key functionality.

The Photos app now includes a feature to save video frames directly as high-resolution photos. AirPods users benefit from a new customizable equalizer for manual frequency adjustment, a reorganized settings menu, and improved accessibility tools.

Additionally, the Health app is receiving a major redesign in iOS 27.2, introducing new tabs for ‘Insights’, ‘Longevity’, and ‘Browse’, with Apple Intelligence providing health summaries.
