Android users can use app pinning to secure devices

Android devices include a built-in feature known as app pinning, or screen pinning, which allows users to restrict a device to a single application. This function is useful when lending a phone to someone for a specific task, such as checking a map, to prevent them from accessing other personal data or applications.

To use this feature, users should navigate to the Security or Security and Location settings menu to activate app pinning. Once enabled, the user opens the desired application, accesses the recent apps view, and selects the pin option from the application icon. It is recommended to ensure that the requirement for a PIN, pattern, or password to unpin the application is enabled in the settings to maintain security.
