Argentine ophthalmologist Roger Zaldivar honored in London

Argentine ophthalmologist Roger Zaldivar has received the Lans Distinguished Lecturer Award at the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) congress in London. The award, presented by the International Refractive Surgery Society (ISRS), recognizes specialists who have made innovative contributions to the field.

The achievement marks a historic family milestone, as Roger’s father, Roberto Zaldivar, received the same distinction in 1998, becoming the first Argentine to be included on the ISRS list of distinguished specialists. The award is named after Leendert Jan Lans, a Dutch ophthalmologist and pioneer in incisional refractive surgery.
