Andrés Arroyo joins Pachuca to build legacy in Mexico

Colombian midfielder Andrés Arroyo has joined the Mexican club Pachuca, expressing his desire to establish his own legacy at the institution. Arroyo noted that the club has a history of hosting successful Colombian players such as Miguel Calero, Avilés Hurtado, and Edwin Cardona, whom he considers professional references.

Arroyo, 24, previously played for Deportivo Cali and joined Pachuca after discussions with his agent regarding the club's reputation for developing young South American talent. He has already made his debut, playing 26 minutes in a 1-1 draw against Guadalajara during the Apertura tournament.

The midfielder highlighted that his adaptation is aided by teammate Christian Rivera, a fellow Colombian with whom he has shared a relationship for seven years. Arroyo also expressed enthusiasm about playing alongside experienced attackers such as Salomón Rondón and Oussama Idrissi while working to secure a spot in the starting lineup under coach Benjamín Mora.
