Andrés Cepeda and Maluma release bachata version of ‘Tengo Ganas’

Colombian artists Andrés Cepeda and Maluma have released ‘Tengo Ganas 2.0 – Versión Bachata’, a new rendition of Cepeda’s 2001 classic originally from the album ‘El Carpintero’. The collaboration transforms the romantic ballad into a bachata track, aiming to connect different musical generations.

The partnership stems from a long-standing relationship between the two singers, who first met as coaches on the television program ‘La Voz’ in 2014. The idea for the collaboration grew after a spontaneous live performance of the song during the ‘Bogotá en el Mapa’ concert at El Campín Stadium.

A music video was filmed in Medellín to accompany the release. The video depicts a story of enduring love through a couple sharing 25 years of life, and features both artists alongside their partners, Elisa Restrepo and Susana Gómez.
