Andrés García Museum hosts educational visits in Concepción del Uruguay
Students from Escuela N° 17 ‘Doctora Teresa Ratto’ and history students from UADER recently visited the Andrés García Museum in Concepción del Uruguay. These visits are part of a municipal educational program designed to help students explore exhibitions covering pre-Hispanic history, the criollo world, and 19th-century civic life.
Originally known as the ‘Museo Entrerriano’, the institution has honored Andrés García since 1983. García was a collector of archaeological pieces, philatelic items, manuscripts, coins, and criollo silverwork. Following a family donation, the collection was relocated to its current site at Supremo Entrerriano 31 in July of last year.
