LaLiga announces 2026/27 squad cost limits for clubs

LaLiga has released the updated Squad Cost Limits (LCPD) for the 2026/27 season, outlining the maximum spending allowed for players, coaching staff, and other club sections. Real Madrid maintains the highest spending capacity in the league with a limit of €832.78 million, an increase of approximately €71.56 million from the previous period.

FC Barcelona has seen a significant financial recovery, with its limit rising to €582.76 million, up from €432.8 million following the winter market. This increase reflects improved revenue and the club's return to the 1:1 rule. Other notable limits include Atlético de Madrid at €361.28 million and Villarreal at €170.56 million.

In contrast, some clubs face tighter restrictions. Sevilla reports the lowest limit in LaLiga at €20.16 million due to accumulated losses. In the Valencian region, Levante and Elche have seen substantial increases in their limits, while Valencia and Villarreal remain relatively stable. The LCPD is designed to ensure economic stability and prevent clubs from exceeding their financial capabilities.
