Andrés Iniesta to make coaching debut with Gulf United FC

Andrés Iniesta is set to make his professional coaching debut today with Gulf United FC in the United Arab Emirates. The former Barcelona and Spanish national team midfielder will lead his side in a match against Dibba Al Fujairah in the UAE First Division.

Having retired from professional football in 2024, Iniesta has spent the last two years preparing for this transition. He currently holds a UEFA A coaching license and is working toward his UEFA Pro License.

Gulf United FC, founded in Dubai in 2019, is known for its focus on youth development and possesses one of the youngest squads in the league. Iniesta stated that his goal is not only to achieve competitive results but to focus on the individual growth and development of his young players.
