Andrés Quevedo appointed acting president of Fondo Nacional de Garantías

Andrés Quevedo has been appointed as the acting president of the Fondo Nacional de Garantías (FNG) in Colombia. The appointment was formalized through Decree 1335 of 2026.

Quevedo, who currently serves as the General Vice Minister of Finance, is an economist with over twenty years of experience in both the public and private sectors. His professional background includes roles at the Ministry of Finance, the Empresa Metro de Bogotá, and the International Finance Corporation (IFC). He previously served on the FNG Board of Directors in 2016.

Under his leadership, the FNG aims to facilitate financial leverage by prioritizing credit coverage for micro-entrepreneurs and strategic economic sectors to support national growth.
