The event, which included fireworks, mariachis, and music lasting until the early morning hours, prompted written complaints from local residents regarding excessive noise and pyrotechnics.

Local authorities in Gerena have intervened following the complaints, leading to an investigation by the local police. In response to the media attention, Roca Rey’s lawyer, Joaquín Moeckel, has sought to downplay the severity of the situation. Moeckel characterized the incident as a routine noise disturbance rather than a serious legal matter, stating that the term “investigation” could be misleading and suggesting that the issue could be resolved with apologies and volume control.
