Andrés Roca Rey triumphs in Nîmes after bull encounter

Peruvian bullfighter Andrés Roca Rey achieved a significant triumph in Nîmes, France, after overcoming a dangerous encounter with a bull. Despite suffering a heavy blow that left visible facial injuries, Roca Rey continued his performance and was ultimately awarded the ‘Puerta de los Cónsules’.

Born in 1996, Roca Rey grew up in the Miraflores district of Lima, Peru. His connection to bullfighting is deeply rooted in his family heritage; his brother is also a matador, and his grandfather managed the historic Acho bullring in Rímac. He moved to Spain at age 14 to pursue his professional career and frequently returns to Lima to reconnect with his roots.
