András Stohl and Róbert Alföldi to star in new play at Centrál Színház

The Centrál Színház in Budapest is set to premiere the play ‘Furcsa pár’ (The Odd Couple) on September 18. The production marks the first time actors András Stohl and Róbert Alföldi will perform together on stage.

Directed by Tamás Puskás, the play is a fresh translation of the Tony Award-winning classic by American playwright Neil Simon. The story follows two close friends, Oscar and Felix, whose contrasting personalities and lifestyles lead to comedic conflicts when they decide to move in together.

András Stohl noted the deep, forty-year friendship he shares with Alföldi, highlighting the unique experience of working together as co-stars after years of professional interaction in different capacities. The cast also includes Robert Marton, Attila Magyar, András Mészáros, Bálint Rada, Éva Lili Domokos, and Mariann Hermányi.
