Andrzej Rosiewicz withdraws from Poland's 'Dancing with the Stars' over health concerns

Eighty‑two‑year‑old singer Andrzej Rosiewicz was slated to become the oldest contestant in the new season of Poland’s "Taniec z gwiazdami" on Polsat, set to air from 6 September. Doctors advised him not to take part, and he withdrew for health reasons.

Judge Rafał Maserak said he was sorry to hear the news, recalling that he and Rosiewicz had trained together when he was a young dancer. Another juror, Tomasz Wygoda, responded to criticism that the show’s star lineup was weak, pointing to participants such as Izabela Kuna, Helena Englert, Krzysiek Kwiatkowski, Mandaryna and others, and noting that Rosiewicz’s exit had already been reported.

The programme will proceed with the announced celebrities despite the veteran singer’s withdrawal.
