Anduril expands defense footprint with major Navy and Army contracts
Defense technology company Anduril has secured significant federal contracts, including a Navy award worth up to $2.9 billion for Virginia-class submarine components. The company also announced a planned $3.7 billion private investment in its Arsenal-2 shipyard.
Additionally, a March Army enterprise contract holds a 10-year maximum potential value of $20 billion, serving as a framework to consolidate over 120 previous procurement actions for Anduril’s commercial offerings. CEO Brian Schimpf noted that the company has experienced significant growth during the current administration, emphasizing that contracts are won through competitive processes based on merit.
Co-founder Palmer Luckey is also involved in Project Meridian, a Pentagon study examining future warfare technologies and military operating concepts. The initiative includes other co-directors such as Elon Musk and Newt Gingrich.
