Anduril Industries' Fury autonomous fighter jet enters production in Ohio

Anduril Industries announced that its first autonomous fighter, the YFQ‑44A “Fury,” has completed production at the new Arsenal One facility in Pickaway County, Ohio. The plant, built at a cost of about $910.5 million, can manufacture up to 150 aircraft per year and is expected to create roughly 4,000 jobs by 2035.

The Fury is a semi‑autonomous, wing‑man aircraft developed for the U.S. Air Force’s Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) program. It measures 20 ft in length, carries two AIM‑120 AMRAAM missiles, and in August 2026 became the first unmanned CCA platform to launch an air‑to‑air missile. The milestone marks a significant step in U.S. unmanned combat aviation and showcases Ohio’s growing role in advanced defense manufacturing.
