Andy Biggs focuses on affordability and water in Arizona campaign
U.S. Representative Andy Biggs is centering his Arizona gubernatorial campaign on economic affordability, water management, and border security. In a recent interview, Biggs criticized the administration of Democratic incumbent Governor Katie Hobbs, claiming the state has transitioned from being highly affordable to one of the least affordable under her leadership.
Biggs advocated for following national trends toward eliminating the state income tax and expressed concerns regarding the state's handling of Colorado River water allotments. He argued that the current administration relies too heavily on conservation rather than seeking new augmentation strategies, such as utilizing underground water stores and improving extraction and distribution infrastructure.
While Biggs highlighted issues regarding fiscal policy and immigration, Governor Hobbs has defended her administration's approach to public safety and management.
