Andy Borg discusses industry relationships and AI music

Austrian singer and television presenter Andy Borg has addressed both professional relationships and the impact of technology on the Schlager music industry. Reflecting on over four decades in the business, Borg noted that while he maintains professional courtesy and smiles toward all colleagues, not everyone in the industry views him favorably. He emphasized the distinction between professional politeness and genuine friendship, citing close ties with colleagues such as Stefan Mross and Patrick Lindner.

Borg also expressed significant frustration regarding the rise of artificial intelligence in music production. He stated that he is frequently sent song demos that are entirely constructed by AI, including vocals, arrangements, and melodies generated from computer-inputted recipes rather than traditional composition. The singer remarked that these AI-generated tracks can be difficult to distinguish from human-made music, noting that he has occasionally been fooled by their perfection during initial listens.
