Andy Borg hints at potential Die Starfighters reunion

German Schlager singer and presenter Andy Borg has suggested the possibility of a reunion with his former school band, Die Starfighters. Approximately 50 years after their first performance on July 10, 1976, Borg indicated in an interview with Merkur that he could imagine performing on stage again with his former bandmates, Andreas and Rudi.

Borg noted that as the musicians approach retirement age, they may have more time to dedicate to music. While no concrete commitment has been made, he responded to questions about a potential comeback by stating, “Say never never.”

The band's origins date back to Borg's school years, where he introduced Schlager music to a repertoire that otherwise included artists like CCR, Smokie, and the Rolling Stones. Borg has maintained contact with his former bandmates throughout his career.
